The controls remain simple throughout Granite Forge. The challenge comes from choosing which swap creates the strongest board state before the limited move counter runs out.

Identify the objective

Check what the current level requires: collect selected symbols, clear obstacles, remove ice blocks or reach a target score.

Plan the swap

Study nearby tiles and consider how one exchange could create a useful match and improve the next position.

Exchange adjacent pieces to create a horizontal or vertical line of three or more matching symbols.

FIELD NOTE 02 GRANITE / GRID

Strategy begins before the swap.

Granite Forge uses the familiar match-three foundation, but limited moves and changing level objectives turn every board into a small planning problem.

Each level presents a tile matrix filled with colorful symbols. Adjacent pieces can be exchanged to create horizontal or vertical lines of identical symbols.

Once a valid group forms, those tiles are removed. New pieces enter the board and occupy the cleared positions, sometimes creating additional matches without another manual move.

Those automatic reactions are cascades. A carefully planned swap can therefore produce more progress than the first match alone suggests.

Different levels can require different solutions. Some focus on collecting selected symbols, while others ask players to remove blockers or reach a score before the available move count is exhausted.

Larger matches provide another tactical layer. Combining four or more symbols can create special pieces capable of clearing broader sections of the grid.

The result is a puzzle structure that remains easy to understand while rewarding players who read the full board instead of simply choosing the first visible match.
